STOA Lecture 2017- European Parliament – Nello Cristianini
Novermber 2017, Nello Cristianini keynote lecture at STOA, European Parliament. Media in the Age of Artificial Intelligence. “We have created a new medium, one that looks back at us”. “We thought we had removed the intermediaries, instead we had replaced them with an algorithm”.
Fairness in Artificial Intelligence
Machine decisions can affect our rights, and we need to ensure that Artificial Intelligence does not absorb biases by being trained on biased data.

Can Machines Read our Minds?
In different areas of science, researchers have discovered that our behaviour can be used by intelligent algorithms to infer psychometric information about us, including emotions, attitudes, aptitudes, beliefs and more. How will that be used? (click below for paper)
